Welcome back to my channel. In this video we will learn how to make 2 seasonal special and healthy recipes with Methi that is Aloo Methi Curry and Methi Dal. Methi has very high concentrations of antoxidants and offers several health benefits especially for people with diabetes. It is rich in antoxidants and very good for health and specially in this winter season. These dishes are made using very simple and easily available ingredients like Methi Leaves, Aloo, Green Chillies and simple spices. They help in Diabetes Control, Better Digestion, Good hair growth and healthier eyes.

Ingredients for ALOO METHI:
1 Bunch Fresh Methi Leaves
250 gms Aloo
Coriander Leaves
1 Tsp Jeera
2-3 Green Chillies
1/4 Tsp Turmeric
1 Tsp Grated Ginger
Lemon Juice
Salt to Taste

Ingredients for METHI DAL:
2 Cups of Fresh Methi Leaves
1 Cup of cooked Toor Dal
1 Cup Chopped Onions
1 Tsp Mustard Seeds
1 Tsp Jeera
1 Tsp Urad Dal
3 Green Chillies
1 Dry Red Chilli
1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder
1/4 Tsp Hing/Asofetida
1/4 Cup Tamarind Juice
1 Tsp Sambar Powder
Salt to taste

Take 250 gms Baby Potatoes and cook them in a pressure cooker for 5 whistles
Peel the skin and keep them aside
Take a pan and let it heat
Add 1 Tbsp Oil, 1 Tsp Jeera and saute
Add 3 chopped green chillies
Next Add 1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder a pinch of salt and saute
Add 1 Tsp grated ginger
Add boiled potatoes and mix well
Add 1 Cup Fresh Methi Leaves, salt to taste and saute
Add little water, close the lid and cook for 3 mins
Finally add 1 Tbsp Lemon juice and mix thoroughly
That’s it ALOO METHI is READY!!

Heat a pan and add 2 Tsp Oil
Add 1 Tsp Dal, 1 Tsp Mustard Seeds, 1 Tsp Jeera, 1 Dry Red Chilli and saute
Add 1/4 Tsp Hing/Asofetida
Add 3 Slit Green Chillies and saute
Add 1 Cup chopped Onions and saute
Add a pinch of salt to fry the onions
Add 1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder, close the lid and cook for 2 mins
Add 2 Cups of washed fresh Methi Leaves, 1/4 Cup of water, close the lid and cook for 5 mins
Add 1 Cup of cooked Toor Dal
Add 1/4 Cup of Tamarind Juice
Add 1 Tsp Sambar Powder and mix well, cook for 2 to 3 mins
That’s it METHI DAL is READY!!
