Banana Bread Recipes
Banana-nut bread
1/3 c shortening
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. sifted flour
1 t. baking powder
1/2 t baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1 c. mashed ripe bananas
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Cream together shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat well. Sift together dry ingredients; add to creamed misxture alternately with banana, blending well after each addition. Stir in nuts. Pour into well-greased 9 1/2 x 5 x3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or till done. Remove from pan; cool on rack.
